On a 200 acre property located between Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon, there lies a 60 tree mixed orchard, large gardens, grass fed cows, pigs and chickens. The key to good management of livestock is to always be on the move. The cows and chickens are rotated to new pasture daily, while the pigs enjoy a new section of bush every month. The orchard and gardens are both managed using permaculture philosophies. The orchard is planted to a meadow and the gardens are never tilled and heavily mulched. The land is fed using farm made compost, this is the highest quality of nutrients that can be given. No chemicals or synthetic fertilizers are ever used on the land.
